
Utah Concealed Firearm Permit - Legislative Changes
These Take Effect 10-May-2011
Starting on 10-May-2011, there are changes in
the law that you need to know.
New Permit Applications for UTAH RESIDENTS will
cost $60 (down $5.25).
New Permit Applications for NON-UTAH RESIDENTS
will cost $65 (down $0.25)
All Renewal Applications will cost $15
(up $5.00).

There are also significant changes which will
impact those applying for permits that are NOT residents of Utah.
As of 10-May-2011 -
If you reside in a state that recognizes the validity of the Utah CFP
or has reciprocity with Utah, you must obtain a CFP or CCW from your
home state FIRST, and submit a copy of it with your application for a
Utah permit.

Residency will be determined by your state-issued identification.
If your state does not recognize the Utah permit this does not apply.
This will take effect on 10-May-2011.
If you are NOT a Utah resident and already have
a Utah Concealed Firerarm Permit, you will need to get your home
state permit (if one is available) prior to 01-January-2012 in order
to renew your Utah Concealed Firearm Permit.
Any renewals filed after that date without a
home state permit issued (if offered) will be denied.
